The Start of the Bubolz Family...
The Bubolz family first came to America on September 22, 1856. They traveled from Hamburg Germany on the Louis Napoleon to make their way to the new world. Johann Daniel I and Charlotte Bergmann were the original immigrants and brought with them their four sons, Charles, Fredrick, Daniel II, Ferdinand and Charles' family. This was the start of the four familes that make up our Bubolz ancestry.
When our family arrived in America, they traveled to Wisconsin and made their home in Rockland, WI near Manitowoc. Today, this town is called Reedsville, WI. It is rumored the family stayed with the "Rusch" family until they could purchase land. My records show this lasted a couple of months.
At the end of 1856, The Bubolz family was able to purchase their own land. They purchasd 80 acres and the origianal farm house is still standing today and the land has been in our family for over 150 years. Once the family settled in Reedsville, they scattered throughout the area and all over WI and the United States.
My mission is to find these lost ancestors and trace our ancestry.
